Earth Day

As we celebrate Earth Day, we want to share what drives our work and powers our commitment to protecting Africa's critically important ecosystems.

Our vision is clear: To ensure that Africa’s critical ecosystems prosper for the benefit of biodiversity, humanity, and the environment.

To realise this ambitious vision, we believe in carefully analysing conservation project opportunities and making intentional, long-term commitments to ensure that every dollar invested delivers its maximum sustainable return for the enduring benefit of nature and humanity

We recognise that achieving this vision requires a team approach, collaborating with a multitude of stakeholders from governments and communities to conservation NGOs and impact investors, and we look forward to forging strong partnerships and fostering healthy dialogue that aligns diverse interests towards sustainable and equitable conservation practices.

In the spirit of partnerships and collaboration, we are committed to achieving our mission: To secure and protect large tracts of wilderness in Africa through long-term investment, resulting in the preservation of intact natural landscapes, prolific wildlife and the generation of meaningful revenue and employment opportunities for rural communities.

Transparency and authenticity are at the core of what we do. These organisational values guide our projects and collaborations, and they shape our theory of change, serving as a roadmap for our impact-driven approach to sustainable conservation investment. We develop project baselines at the outset and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure our progress. We believe in sharing these project processes and progress updates with you, so that you can join us on this exciting, and at times challenging, journey to secure vanishing wilderness across Africa, in perpetuity.

Our theory of change is focused on two major outcomes:

1. Protecting and restoring migration corridors and wildlife dispersal areas in critically important large conservation landscapes

2. Promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development for local communities

As conservation project facilitators, our aim is to act as a bridge between impact investors and high value conservation areas in need of sustainable financing, aspiring to become the go-to wilderness investment partner for Africa.

Through an investor-driven approach of blended finance, sustainable revenue creation and greater financial resilience, we focus on securing natural capital, safeguarding biodiversity, empowering rural communities and combatting climate change. In doing this, we advance our vision and mission, while simultaneously contributing to seven of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Thank you for joining us on this journey towards a more resilient and ecologically aware future for our planet. We look forward to honestly sharing our success (as well as our challenges) in the months and years ahead. Happy Earth Day!
